Ancaster has a rich and vibrant history. It’s the third oldest community in Ontario and its heritage is a feature of Ancaster Village. This year we’re proud to put the “Heritage” in Ancaster Heritage Days!
Throughout the week you can participate in Ontario 150 events that celebrate and promote our community’s wonderful past. Click here for more info!
On Saturday, June 10, and Sunday, June 11, the Ancaster Historical Society has partnered with us to present a pictorial history of Ancaster (Special thanks to Vintage Ancaster!). Drop by and see photos from the past, provide information to the society about the photos, tell stories, and hear stories. On Saturday the display will be set up from 10a-230p in the public library parking lot off of Wilson St. On Sunday the display will be set up under the Marquee Tent in the afternoon.
Also on Saturday, members of the Ancaster Fairgrounds will be showing off historical tractors, engines, pumps, and much more! These will be on display in the public library parking lot off of Wilson St. Be sure to drop by for a visit!
During the week of Heritage Days be sure to visit Ancaster’s local Fieldcote Memorial Park and Museum for all sorts of interesting heritage displays.
