The Ancaster Heritage Days Committee is excited to announce that for their pearl anniversary they will be hosting the first annual Ancaster Soapbox Derby.
The Derby will take place on Saturday, June 14, directly after the annual parade. Participants will race their soapboxes down the hill on Wilson St. St. E. between Halston and Church Streets. Therefore, make sure to wander down to the Ancaster Square for the best seats.
The event is open to Ancaster children between the ages of 8 to 14. Prizes will be awarded for the fastest soapbox as well as the people’s choice award. All soapboxes will be on display at Kidsworld after the race, allowing for people to vote for their choice of best looking soapbox.
