On behalf of the Ancaster Heritage Days’ Committee, I would like to welcome you to this, our 32nd annual festival.
We have a very enthusiastic and creative committee this year. Everyone has worked so hard to make this year bigger and better than last year.
But we could not be successful without the support of our local businesses, service clubs, and volunteers.
Our website will give you details of all our events, but I do want to mention a few things.
Please do not miss KidsWorld again this year! The kids really enjoyed it KidsWorld last year and I know they will again this year. There will be many fun attractions for young families which include a Climbing Wall, Lizzard Man, face painting and many many more fun filled attractions. And the best part is – it’s all Free!!! Check out the site for details.
Our Soap Box Derby was a great hit and will be back – but bigger and better. Please Dads, start building those cars now. Plus, for the first time ever, there is going to be an adult Soap Box Derby! I know that will be great fun.
We are planning an exciting Teen Scene. If you like Scavenger Hunts – stay tuned. We hope to see lots and lots of our teens participating. Details will be coming out as we get closer to the big day.
Of course our old favourites will be back on June 13th – the Parade, the Classic Car Show, the Strawberry Festival and much more.
Don’t forget that Heritage Days is a week long event starting with the Old Mill Race on June 8, Community Service Golf Tournament on June 9, Taste of Ancaster on June 11, , and of course Parade day on June 13.
Have a wonderful time at Heritage Days 2010, and a Safe and Happy Summer!
Mary Ann Leach,
Chair
